Hi,
I just uploaded a self-extracting rar (600Kb) with the solution mentioned in my previous post Tanslation Alternatives. It was tested and works ok.
Download: http:\\enbaires.com\pritlog\PritlogTranslation0.411.exe
Content of the included README.txt as follows:
PRITLOG TRANSLATION
===================
This self-extracting rar package contains all resources needed to translate the Pritlog Blog script v0.411 from English to any other language:
Translation uses BK ReplaceEm 2.0 - a multiple search & replace freeware utility (somewhat outdated but excelent program)
The Pritlog index.php file has been edited to include ## tags around all labels and user messages. There are also 2 files you will need to use with BK ReplaceEm:
- groups.bkg called the "replacement group" containing the english tags and their corresponding translations (in my case in Spanish)
- pritlog1.bkr called the "file set" containing the paths to the tagged index.php and the output path for the transladed version.
Usage Instructions
==================
1. double click to self extract. It creates a directory called C:\blog translation\, with three subdirectories:
\english last release\ containing the tagged (##) v0.411 index.php file
\translated\ where BK ReplaceEm will output your translation
(my spanish version is there (renamed as index_es.php)
\BK ReplaceEm\ containing the installer (bkrep20.exe), plus 2 files (groups.bkg and pritlog1.bkr)
2. install BK ReplaceEm 2.0 on your PC, and copy groups.bkg and
pritlog1.bkr to the program installation folder
3. run BK ReplaceEm for the first time
4. on the bottom half of the screen you should see 2 columns:
- the left with the english tags (##words to be replaced##)
- and on the right the translated strings (in my file in Spanish)
- replace the spanish strings with your desired language
- click files > save replace groups to update groups.bkg
5. click file > open file set... to load the pritlog1.bkr containing the file settings (location of source and destination)
6. click the first icon to execute the replacement
7. you will find your translated index.php at C:\blog translation\translated\
Regards,
John Freeman
PD: to translate future versions, you will need to get the last tagged (##) index.php from the authors site at http://hardkap.net/pritlog/ or make your own :-)
