Please help, I don't understand what action to take?

NTFS Warning
The ntfs-3g driver was unable to mount the NTFS partition and returned this error message.
fuse: mountpoint is not empty
fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option

So, the inbuilt kernel NTFS driver has been used to mount the partition read-only

I am using Macpup 5.25 Kernel:2.6.33.2. I am very new and inexperienced so please give me very simple directions. I booted off the DVD and my save file is on a 32Gig fat32 flash drive.

I wanted to save a picture in my picture folder on that external drive. I can see the contents of the drive but cannot copy and paste something in it, or when downloading, choose that drive to put things in.

I remember seeing something like this on the puppy forum about lucid having a problem. But I can't find that thread now. I dont use NTFS partitions so I cant really look into this.I'll look more later this weekend.

I want to add that everything works fine in Lucid Puppy 525. Now when I want to copy a file from Macpup I have to reboot into Lucid Puppy.

I don't know,all of the hardware drivers and stuff are the same in mp525 and lucid 525.

What do I do to follow these instructions?

It is suggested to use gparted to delete the mount point.I have never used gparted to do that.It sounds dangerous. I would back up everything on that drive first. If you try it you may end up having to reformat the whole drive and that would destroy ever thing you have on it now so back it up somewhere else.

Try what rcrsn51 suggested on the puppy forum first.

First there is a usb icon on the bottom shelf that is for pmount. Click on it and see what you ntfs drive is labeled ,sdb1,sdd1 or whatever but don't mount it . Then click on the folder icon to open ROX file manager. It opens in the /root folder:

Use the up arrow to exit out of /root . Then look for the mnt folder:

Look for a folder that is labeled the same as your ntfs drive .See if there is anything in it.

If there is stuff in there delete that ,Then exit rox and try to mount the drive with pmount.

It worked! After unmount, it had one video still in it. After I deleted it, all is normal now. Thank you so much.
