Prit and I are proud to release a new E17 pup. Macpup Opera is based on Ttuuxxx's 4.2v2 Deeper thought, a "no Bling" version of puppylinux 4.2 with all of the current updates. It has dbus 1.2.4 compiled and installed from source and the Enlightenment e17 desktop version 0.17.999.060 compiled and installed from source with the updated version of librsvg 2.26.0 . Also included is the Opera 9.64 browser compiled by Ttuuxxx.Works with both Xorg and Xvesa video drivers. Runs all the latest e17 themes and backgrounds. There is an option on the exit menu to switch back to jwm, if required. Once again as with all our e17 pups use the exit icon on the desktop to shutdown or reboot.

The download page also has a video demo of macpup opera:

The great thing about Macpup (and Puppy) is that you can continue to use the livecd - with a settings file saved to any partition (even a windows partition). If you like it after running a few days from the cd with the settings file, you can then choose to install it.

Do you already have a Grub on your PC?

No...no grub currently...using Fedora 11 at the moment...but like Macpup enough to make it main OS if it will install to HD without any probs.

I would recommend you to try first few times using the CD and save the settings when logging off to a SFS file (Macpup will prompt you for this during shutdown). Choose 256M (or better 512MB) save file. From your next boot using the CD, it will pick up all your settings from this save file.

Some folks in Puppy have been using this method for years. You can try this method until you feel comfortable. When you are satisfied, you can make it your main OS.

    Sir? LoL.
Hi runt21 , only two questions:

Where can I find the logo Macpup?
What colors would you like a theme for E17 , based in theme default?

    It's for a surprise!!!!

    I love people to use E17!!!!! .

The "Macpup with enlightenment" logo , The enlightenment part with the e logo and reflection is yours ,we got it from one of your elive backgrounds and added the macpup opera to it. ( You make the best e17 stuff !!! )

The blue theme that both Opera and Opera061 use is your A-Illumine-Blue I removed the moonos logos and use the e logo .

I really like ZaZoOo 's Imago (ex BlackTheme) .I have been modifying it for a long time for macpup . Opera061 has the latest version of it (megan-fox2).

If you make something for Macpup , fell free to do what ever you want . I have most of you themes and backgrounds and your stuff is GREAT.You have made more stuff for e17 than anyone else !!!! Thank you !!!

Hi runtt21 , I made the logo of "Puppy" in red, because I want to make the indicators of the clock in red.

But here I've done what you said.

Sure , you can put the link here if you like. I will re post it in the puppy linux forum.

Would you do something else for us when you have time? Could you make a copy of the enlightenment logo with the pup face by itself on a transparent background ? I want to use it to make boot splash's and grub boot screens with it. Take you time, it will be a while before we start on the next macpup.
