Laptop Touchpad Scroll ...?

    Hi,

First and foremost, thanks for MacPup!
It's one of three boots on my laptop and I love it. (Other two are Mint 8 and LM Xfce 7)

    I use a Sony Vaio VGN-FS920 laptop.
I found how to activate the click from touchpad option and that works fine.
Just wondered if there is a way to scroll using my touchpad.
In other distros I can just scroll with the right side of my touchpad.

Thanks for any hints or tricks that I can use so I don't always have to carry a mouse.

you can look at menu / applications / setup / mouse/keyboard wizard but I dont think puppy supports that.I have never got it to work on my laptop.

    Thanks for the reply Runtt21!

I found that I can just use the up and down arrows to achieve the same effect so it's no bid deal at all. Also found that if I have a usb mouse plugged in when installing MP, both my touchpad and the mouse will be available after install.

I sure do like MP installed to the hard drive, it's one of my regular boots now ... I like it!
Seems to have everything I need or a package available if not.

Kudos to you and the MacPup devs for your great work!

    Thanx

  4. Works for me w/ trackpad! Just tried it [MacPupFoxy 2.0] . make sure you are using xorg, as vesa don't have it. in "setup", mouse and keyboard, type of mouse!
I actually recall using this feature on a trackpad of another lappy, but it is not here just now.

    Hi Racepres,

I can't get xorg to install. Doesn't seem to like my video card or monitor. (Sony Laptop with on-board 915 Intel video). Maybe I need to install a driver or edit xorg.conf. Time to do some more research I guess.
    Thanx for the info.

    Hi Runtt21,

Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one experiencing this.
I even did a re-install to see if perhaps I messed things up somehow.

Is there a possible work-around being considered in future releases?
xvesa is fine but it does limit the options.
