Im new to linux, and have only worked with ubuntu. I would like help with the proper procedures or commands on the command line. I unzipped the file in the /root/Desktop/ folder. Please help me with assistance please.

Inside this /folder things should be aranged like /usr /root /etc ..... inside /usr there may be other folders like /bin /lib . Click on rox ,that is teh folder on the ibar and go to /desktop/folder cause you are already in root. Then open rox again and in this second window press the arro wto exit /root to teh main file system. Then go to the same locations that are in /folder. If you have stuff in /folder/usr/sbin in the second rox go to /usr/sbin and copy everything over by drag and drop from teh first rox into the second. Do that for everything in /folder.
You can also do this in the terminal:
cp -R /root/Desktop/folder/* /
