I hope someone can spot my error as I cannot get MACPUP528 to install. It gets to the 528 screen as shown on Macpup web site with the two options shown, then when I choose either of these I get the message ....
Sounds like your download is bad. Do a md5sum check on it ...

The .sfs will be named macpup_528.sfs Small letters.
This needs to be in a different thread on the forum . This one is for issues with the forum .
Thanks for the reply. I will try the md5sum but I originally tried the program from APC computer magazine DVD then downloaded from macpup web site, both gave same results.
Further to my query of 25 March I just downloaded Macpup 525 and I got the same error as macpup 528 Can you please advise if my cd disk should have both macpup_528.sfs and macpup_5.fsf. I only get macpup_5.fsf
The .iso has to be burned as an image. You don't mount or extract it. I prefer using cd-r . Burn it as slow as possible. Make sure what ever software you are using can burn an image. After the disk is finished there will be only one .sfs .
I understsand about burning iso's but can you tell me which .sfs file I should have end up with ie: macpup_528.sfs or macpup_5.fsf.
This is what should be on the cd after you burn it.

Now I am running macpup. Windows and esp Vista don't show linux file names right so it may show macpup_5 . What you may need to do is copy the macpup_528.sfs to a usb drive. Don't put it in a folder just leave it on the top layer. Re name it if you have to. Leave the drive connected and boot with the cd. it should load off the usb.
