Hi

Can i upgrade to puppy 5.2.8 just by replacing the lupu_525.sfs with lupu_528? Or would that just break macpup?

You need to wait about two weeks.

Doing what you say wont do anything. If you replace the macpup-525.sfs with a lupu-528.sfs you will have a plain lupu with whatever stuff you have installed .
